Getting stuff "checked" off the list!

This week was supposed to be a "getting stuff done" kinda week, both in the "laboratory" and at daylight slave job. Unfortunately, this was not the case at home.

I have dresses to sew, an ever growing mending pile to tackle and resin to pour!  With sassy boyfriend out of town on business, this was to be the most productive week evah!  I was going to "check!" many things off my to do list.

But sometimes life gets in the way of productivity....

I was able to get some jewellery making in last night, before my grandmother came over for dinner. "Check!"

The latest batch of Spangles

Close up of earring and necklace set, love the purple glitter spangles

Tonight was the night to tackle sewing room projects! I took on look at the mending pile and noticed it was mostly men's trousers and a hockey jersey (perils of telling roomates and sassy boyfriend that I will fix things for them, the pile just keeps getting bigger!)  I decided to begin stitchin' the bodice of my dingle ball dress instead of the mending chores.  It went together very easily, all it required was a few shoulder adjustments since I come with built in shoulder pads!

This mending pile has too many boy clothes in it!

My new Pfaff Passport, le sigh, it sews like a dream!

I should be able to get this dress finished within the next few days here, but tomorrow I am going to take a break from making.  My palm has started blinking red, and I turn 30 tomorrow.  I will be going to a movie night with my mombot, aunties and grandmas.  I hear they are playing "Little Shop of Horrors" tomorrow night, and I might be able to convince them to see that one.  If not, it's playing Saturday and I will get dolled up in leopard and see it then!

Bodice all fitted on the plastic "Miss World"

Have a wonderful evening, and I will update you on my stitching projects soon!
